Azurites from the Lost Lake Claim certainly are some of the more unusual formations from any azurite locale, and this specimen example is no exception. Precipitation of azurite (copper carbonate) onto a sandstone matrix are responsible for the creation of the round concretions. Locating decent size examples of this material is definitely becoming more difficult. There hasn’t been a significant find since 2009-2010. Be sure to watch the video!
