Summit's Steps is a family-owned and operated business located in the heart of downtown Lawrence, Kansas, providing the Earth's natural wonders since 2009. Each specimen in the shop is hand-picked, in an effort to provide only the highest quality minerals, crystals, gemstones, and jewelry, along with outstanding customer service to each and every customer.
Summit's Steps is owned and operated by Adam Guss. Adam is from Baldwin City, Kansas. He has always had an affinity and appreciation for the natural world. Before founding Summit's Steps, he worked as a community organizer for various non-profit environmental groups. It was during his time in the Southwest that Adam’s hobby of collecting and mining really began to take off. His interest in minerals and geology grew from pass time to passion and from passion to career when he established Summit's Steps Minerals in 2009.
Besides rockhounding, Adam is a sports enthusiast, musician, and father of three. In his free time (whatever free time a father of three can have), he enjoys riding the river trails in North Lawrence, running, playing guitar, watching sports with friends, cooking, and bird watching.
The Summit's Steps physical shop is located at 806 Massachusetts Street in Lawrence, Kansas, but we understand not everyone can visit our wonderful town.
