Kutnohorite w/ Aragonite Geode

A complete geode split in half containing bright white fine needle sprays of aragonite accompanied by small light brown crystals of the rare manganese carbonate mineral Kutnohorite. Typically Kutnohorite is a pink/salmon color but because of higher than normal iron levels in this particular piece the crystals are darker. I acquired this specimen from an Italian mineral dealer who had recently purchased a large collection in Italy. High quality complete nodules like this one are fairly uncommon to find, so don’t miss out!
