Blue green botryoidal growth crystals with the classic Smithsonite waxy luster. This specimen is from the most recent finds at the Yanga Koubenza Quarries and man are there some beautiful pieces coming out right now! This is a smaller example of the material but the size doesn’t take away from the overall beauty and presence of the piece. This material along with others coming out remind me of the famous Kelly Mine Smithsonite from New Mexico, and it’s never a bad thing to be compared to the best smithsonite locale in the US!
