This is a beautiful smoky quartz sometimes called “elestial quartz”. This variety actually has several different names: Elestial, Alligator, Fenster, and Jacare quartz. This variety of quartz is developed by skeletal growth, which basically means the edges of the crystal grew quicker than the faces. Often, this style of crystal has raised edges and uneven growth at the outer edges. This particular specimen has nice luster with a golden like internal color with very attractive darker smoky zones. This piece is in very good condition with very limited damage. Be sure to watch the video!
