Highly saturated and lustrous purple cubic fluorite from Coahuila, Mexico. The colorless mineral associated here is more than likely celestine. It has a nice reflective quality giving this specimen even more depth and life. For Coahuila, this piece is a step above, the majority of fluorite from this locale doesn’t have the combination of deep color and high luster.
This specimen was a recent acquisition (May 24’) out of the collection of Brett Whitenack. Brett was an active collector for 40+ years who resided in McPherson, Kansas.
