Fluorite
Okorusu Mine, “A” Pit, Otjiwarongo Constituency, Otjozondjupa Region, Namibia.
Ex. Sherwin Berger Collection
11 x 6.5 x 3.5 cm
Vibrant bi-color fluorite from the famous Okorusu Mine in Namibia. This specimen belonged to the former mineral dealer Sherwin Berger. Sherwin owned Nature Arts Company in Phoenix, Arizona and sold at the annual Tucson show from the early 80’s to the early 2000’s. The photo shown in the listing is backlit and like many Okorusu fluorite specimens this is the preferred way to display it. There is however fairly good clarity on this piece when lit from the front. There are a few dings here and there but overall it’s still a great example. What makes this specimen special is the amazing modified stepped cubic formations.
